Cpanel for Windows
Has anyone else notice it has been in development for a number of years now? I remember seeing about a year ago "90%" complete, why dont they just say "Not yet supported" or something similar.

When do you expect Cpanel beta to come out for Windows Nick? Any dates you can throw at us would be appreciated.

oddly enough I just sent them a sales email yesterday asking about windows too and they said it is indeed in "active development" just no dates can be set yet.
I am curious when it does come out how many people will switch to it. I believe I will be on that bandwagon

I can not give any solid dates, however, I hope to see it released 'soon'. And by soon, I mean before I watch the kickoff of the 2006 NFL season.

Personally I can't see it ever happening, but I guess I can be proved wrong.

I dont think that cPanel will be anywhere near as stable on Windows as it is on Linux.. the software was developed in and for a Unix environment, so modding it to run on another OS wont produce good results.

Personally I won't go near it. I did that with Plesk 6.5 and learned the hardway to avoid any and all first release Control Panels in a production enviroment.
Besides that I already had to make the business decision on which Control Panel to use. Unfortunately cPanel is "EXTREMELY" late to market and most of the Windows Hosting industry has already made this decision.

There is indeed a cost associated with not being the first into the market, however, as you said, nobody wants to use a control panel that's in it's first release in a production enviorment. Proper testing, and trying not to rush a product out will pay off in the end.
I would urge you to hold your hesitations until you actually get to see the product
