Which OS is needed
Hi,
Newbie help here please..... I have several reseller accounts which I'm happy with for the most part. However, I'm keen to try VPS in order to have more control and to educate myself.
Question. In order to manage my VPS - CPanel /WHM - does it matter which OS I use. Can it all be done via GUI as I know little command line Linux.
The VPS uses RedHat but I have Mandrake here.....OK?

CPanel/WHM will work very well on RedHat's Fedora Linux on VPSes. You're going to need some knowledge of the Linux command line to manage your server if your VPS provider doesn't offer any management services. CPanel/WHM cannot manage all aspects of your server.

Ah, I understand your question now. It doesn't matter what OS you have on your local computer - You'll be able to use the GUI from any browser, and you'll be able to SSH into your Linux VPS from any OS (not just Linux) as well, as long as there's an SSH client made for that OS.
