    Much Demand?

I have came up with a new kind of reseller. I was just wondering whether you guys and gals think that there would be lots of demand for such a package.

Its basically one very big reseller on a server (1 account per server) however they do not have the full resources (to allow software installs and management etc for us) and they do not have root access.

do you think this idea will have much demand?

possibly might have a bit of demand, but what i fail to understand is how this would really differ from a managed server, apart from being a lot more restrictive.

If you are going to pay the sort of money that this plan would warrant, then to be honest, you will be looking towards renting your own server anyway, be it managed or unmanaged...

Sounds pretty much like a managed dedicated server.

There are clients who are scared of root access, however I would consider this a managed server plan rather then a reseller or even semi-dedicated hosting plan

Sounds exactly like a fully managed dedicated server, plenty of companies offer them without root access already for people wanting their own server but without having to worry about the technical side.

Well, perhaps Very Large reseller accounts (or managed semi-dedicated servers so-to-speak) would be what you would want to target. If they're managed, you might as well try to give them the whole enchilada with end-customer tech support too!
