They provide great hardware with fast setup times at cheap prices also they include free ddos protection by arbor up to 10Gbps .However their support and network may not be the best.ps: personal experience been with them for over 4 months , also their support speaks english.

Hardware is really good (Dell, HP), network is better since its recent update and support starts to talk english/provide EN stocks.

That is our provider for VPS (on WOPR), and nothing to say, one of the best hosters according to me.

The protection is offered only for the french users.

The servers are good I suppose, the network is not the best, as at least in my case the download speeds from the server to my home computer didn't go over 300kbps even though, I'm on 30mbps fiber. Their support can speak english, only not so good, I have a feeling they use google translate.

Foreigners(outside France) can only purchase mid- to high-end offers.
Once you register with a foreign IP and logged in, most attractive ones would be displayed as 0 stock.
If you want to buy the budget ones, you need to proove yourself the resident of France, they will ask for a SMS validation about that.
On all the "Offres MINI" series, the upload bandwidth is capped in about 25~30Mbps, the download bandwidth however is truly unlimited 1Gbps.
This is based on my experience one month ago.
I also google translated one of their forum thread from a France user who has made some bandwidth tests, confirm that cap around 30Mbps on thoes lowend models, and the more expensive ones have more bandwidth.

So my suggestion, if you have some friends in France can help you out, then go for online.net. Otherwise I'll suggest you just go for OVH or other US providers.

    Hello,
The bug will be fixed very soon!

"Bug found with some servers. We opened an internal ticket, we are investigating, thank you for all your help." (Arnaud de Bermingham, CTO Online.net)

    Enjoy

Their network is really not good at all, it seems their peering agreements are not great.
The hardware is quite good, but without a decent bandwidth, completely useless. The support is also a bit "special".

At this price, you cannot ask for the best support ever

About network, no problem here: http://serverbear.com/benchmark/2013...y6MBMNHhzOvI5Y (Dedibox LT)

Well, if you're happy with 8-10 MB/s to Hetzner Germany and the US east-coast, good for you, but that's far from what I was expected .

I bought the Dedibox® SC gen2 some days ago. As you can see here http://www.online.net/fr/serveur-dedie/dedibox-scg2 it should have a 500g harddrive.

    First i did a Serverbear Benchmark > serverbear.com/benchmark/2013/09/03/a1pREDgeAYfxsvZC

You see the Harddrive? Right its 160g ...

So i send a ticket to the support, that was the Answer:

"> Presently, the SC Gen 2 is only available to french customers.
    >
    > We are doing the best for you to order it as soon as possible"

You know i could order the Server with my German IP, in the whole process of order there was never mentioned that i get an other Server, or that this Server is only for french Customers. And i also pay the full Price.

I telled them that they frauded me, cause they sell something with a wrong description. I just want my money back and they should cancel the server.

They answered me two times "As I wrote before, it will be not possible."

You know its "just" 11,95 Euro (VAT inclusive), but its in my eyes complete FRAUD. Im thinking about to contact my lawyer and german customer protection...

Hmm, I had one of those, though I never tested the actual HDD capacity...
Anyways, before contacting a lawyer and spend a lot of money on suing them, I suggest that you go and read their terms and policies. If you don't find anything, then you are right and they are pulling one on you.

I got one of these cheap SC-gen2 at 9,99€ also.
True, on the main page it adverts a 500gb disk, but availability list for actual ordering shows 160gb disk. Could be availability and non-updated listing on the main page. In any case what matters is what is listed on the ordering form before confirming payment.

    Advantages over kimsufi/OVH are:
    - the ordering form automatically computes VAT out, for non-EU customers
On OVH you need to talk to billing over the phone.
    - payment with verified Paypal account is instant. In less than one hour the server is up. With Kimsufi/OVH you need to order at office hours, because they do manual CC billing.

I am just done with installating OpenBSD on the box, so it will takes time to tell how well it behaves, but so far it looks good.
Admin console is sparse compared to OVH one. IPv6 isn't default, it must be ordered after the server is delivered (very simple: from the control console, click "order ipv6 block").

No, it's not something "non-updated", if you're a resident of France(a France private IP address and a France cell phone for SMS verification), you'll get a 500GB HDD.
I've already tried the 30EUR one, hardwares are OK. But the network quality is worse than OVH now, probably the same level as the OVH last year.

ok, so then, french IP at ordering time and french SIM in case of SMS verification can easily be worked around, but also they probably check that the PayPal verified account is tied to a french bank/french address.
