Service status cpdavd failed in WHM

service status in whm shows the cpdavd as failed, I have tried in all sorts after googling for this but still it shows failed.

this happened all of a sudden

restarting the server both gracefully and forcefully did nothing to resolve.

    Please help.

    Did you try cpanel update?

I have opted for Automatic update for cPanel. I tried with cpanel restart also.

Is your automatic update set to stable tree?

    1) Login to SSH as ROOT

    2) Run the command: /scripts/upcp -force

    3) After running the command, run: service cpanel restart to confirm that all services have been restarted after being updated.
    Respectfully,
    Mr. Terrence

Do you have lfd installed? Or any other software to monitor/limit the cpu/memory usage by all processes and kill that process.
