Looking for Canadian hosting allowing adult sites
Hello there,
I am looking for a Canadian host who necessarily have their servers in Canada who offer dedicated hosting and who hosts adult sites. I don't have anything particular specifications as of now since my sites are overall small (1k/day). Thank you!

A majority of hosts will allow you to host adult content as long as it is legal. I would recommend taking a look at http://caratnetworks.com/.

Why do the servers have to be in Canada?
Respectfully,
Mr. Terrence

Some laws regarding pornography/adult content are more lax in Canada vs the US.

I'd recommend checking out netelligent.ca
They have great network and speeds along with superb customer service/support. I'm not sure if they allow adult content, but it is definately worth contacting them to find out. Ask for Max, he is great.

Thank you for your suggestions. I will check them out.
The contents are legal by all means. Are there any other Canadian hosts?

Actually, you are both right and wrong.
The laws are virtually identical in CA and the US, but the enforcement is altogether different. For example, I had a customer who was arrested and tried three different times in Canada for obscenity but it was because his sites were based on very hard S&M and each time he was found NOT GUILTY on all counts. Of course, his severs were always in the US, but he was a Canadian Citizen. This is why most people believe that it does not matter where the servers reside, but where the person that produces the content resides. Always know that the Government will always follow the money so the location of the servers means very little in the grand scheme of things.

Did you find a Canadian provider ???
The laws in Canada and the US are pretty much the same.
I would consider a small vps plan to start and work with your provider as your business grows.

Exactly what I meant A lot of laws in Canada are lax in terms of punishment/enforcement that would otherwise land you for prison for a couple decades in the US. I swear there's a province up there that allows p2p/illegally obtained music as some tax essentially pays for it.

You are quite wrong...
I am a web hosting company that has offices and servers in both Canada and the USA.
The laws of both countries are radically different. This applies to almost everything.
How those laws are enforced however is quite similar.
Law enforcement in either country can and will only enforce laws that are being broken in their respective country.
for instance, if an item is being offered in Canada that is legal, yet the company is US based and their servers are located here, Canadian authorities would not care. The same applies to regulations related to obscene material, which the Canadian law is quite a bit more lax about., You as a USA based company can have really raunchy porn on a Canadian server and not break laws up north, But You may be open here in the USA to possession, production, distribution, etc. charges.
This law structure is commonly used to set up gambling sites. a vast number of us companies own on line gambling sites. the government has only been able to go after the payment processing and enforce tax laws...
I did study law, however, as law is constantly evolving, you are encouraged to ask before you are in a position of requiring a defense attorney!
