adult merch account, no per trans fee
After much mind-boggling googling and research on merchant accounts, I stumbled across your forums. What a font of useful information for future referece!!
Our predicament is this, we will be selling MP3s of adult content audio only. The charge per MP3 will be about $0.99 average so here's the question: Does anyone know of a merchant account provider that allows adult content and does not charge per transaction fee?
Thanks,
newb

You must be dreaming.
Adult merchant accounts has highest processing fees due to high-risk of chargebacks and nature of business.
If you not ready to pay fees - you need to re-write your business plan - nobody will accept you for this type of content even at STANDARD rates.

ok well can anyone suggest one that has a low per transaction fee? We don't mind higher setup fees or even monthly charges. I realized we are going to have to pay fees...

Don't create a wheel again. What you need is to sell/bill not per song/item, but credits in increments of let's say 10, 25, 30, etc. values. In this case you won't have type of problems you refer to.

Consider doing a membership based system and use CCBill to manage your membership

thanks but no thanks
I mean I appreacite everyone trying to reorganize our business plan but I don't really need advice in that area.
Thanks Corey, We checked in to CCBill and it may remain an option if others don't work out.
We did find some merch accounts that charge a flat percentage rate along the lines of 10% to 14% so I'll let you guys know for anyone else for future reference how it works out.
I think within the realm of high risk, we are actually fairly low risk..

Go with CCBILL.COM as already suggested. They are the one to go with if you run a serios Adult business. Also they have everything in place with what is needed to have a membership based website. Most others will only give the MA and the Gateway.
