Can someone steal from your PayPal account?
Guys and gals, please bear with me since I'm a total newbie when it comes to PayPal subject...
I'm going to set up a PayPal account, but do not understand one thing: If people pay each other or buy/sell services by using only an e-mail address, may just someone who knows the e-mail address use it to purchase something for himself? Or just make a fraud purchase?
I've read the FAQ on their page, but I still need help understanding how the system actually works... Is there any password to enter or anything?? What if someone just enter my address in order to pay for something?
How does the security/process trick work?
Any advice is very much appreciated.

the email address is essiantly a login, you can only pay after you've logged in.

that is correct. You would need the password for the login (email) to be able to access any funds or anything.

OOPS, late post. Ignore my previous post.
Thanks Jeremy.
PS: It kind of cooled me down knowing that e-mail is certainly not the major part of all this and no one can STEAL from the account heheh.. phew...
