Each has points that make one better than the other depending on your NEEDS. Without this info, this is way too broad of a question to possibly answer.

What to compare Alabanza and VDI in terms of support and general service provided. Especially from a beginner point of view.
Thanks,
Ray

This is a tough one (we have servers at both). They both have their advantages and disadvantages.
VDI has more configurations that Alabanza and has a pretty decent control panel. Their customer support is available 24/7 but a tech is on site typically until about 11:00 PM EST. VDI has no real content regulations, as long as it's legal. Fairly cheap prices in comparison to Alabanza. Servers typically start at around $250 and go up. Offers support for RaQ servers, Linux and NT
Alabanza has a very complex and totally automated control panel offering a level of sophistication that few if any other hosting companies have. They have three levels of customer support and are available 24/7. Their servers are more expensive with less configurations than VDI, prices start around $400+ per month for the first year, then $800 per month their after. No porn or illegal sites. Offers only Linux servers.
You are going to get different responses on this one as both companies are good. If this is a first time server or you are not comforatble with linux, Alabanza may be the better choice due to the ease of setting things up and the tech support. If automation isn't a big issue and you feel fairly comfortable with server management, then VDI is the way to go.Life is Minimum live it Maximum.

I also try to PING and TRACERT VDI.net and seems not very stable. I always get "Requested Time Out".

lol, no no, pings and tracerts are disabeled at the router for added security, don't ask me why, but thats what VDI decided to do .
It doesn't hurt anything and everything has been running smoothly so it doesn't bother me if they killed pings and tracerts.
