Well it's nice to know it's not just me! I was at the hostspot.com site yesterday and made a few posts. Then I Emailed the site owner asking what type of Board was used and how I found it difficult to understand the date system, used on each board's entry page.
Then about 4hrs later, I suddenly getting a Forbidden msg. Thought maybe the Owner was peeved at me for some reason. Got the same msg. again just now, so still a problem. Other checking tells me the site is still up and I guess we'll just have to wait and see how things shake out.• PotentProducts.com - for all your Hosting needs

Now, with the 5.0+ browsers all that wonderful multimedia we now expect like MP3, Flash, video, Real Audio and Quicktime, not to mention all that banner push, pull from the 'adware' programs people now run on their computers is starting to add up. *no pun intended*
If you're like me and still using copper line to see the net that's the first issue. You can only shove so much through that little wire at a time. But more than that, it's the rest of the net slowly filling up with 'space junk'.
Rest assured, all those websites like Nike and what-not will be complaining soon enough about the lack of speed and it'll start to clear out again as more 'pipes' get put through. As we speak the Pacific line is nearing completion I hear so should help break the strain.

Greg,
Quite frankly I wish Southern Cross would get off their arses and finish it quickly so that we don't have to rely on Telstra all the time.. And hopefully sometime in the future we'll see hosting prices over here drop to comparatively around US levels.
As for FreeWebSpace, I haven't been able to access them in the last 24 hours (before that it was fine). Same with HostSpot.
