    cheap voip providers

What is the cheapest, but still decent SIP based VOIP provider that you can get a DID from?

Also considering skype, but I don't know what the quality is like on it.

I'd strongly recommend doing a search, this has been discussed numerous times, however a few I use currently:

voipcheap.com (outbound trunk only, doesn't offer DIDs)
    les.net
    callwithus.com

Personally, I'd recommend voip.ms and callcentric.com. I use both (callcentric for home, voip.ms for work) and am nothing but pleased with the service and quality. DID's available all over the world, some they (voip.ms) have to do a special order for.

I have a DID from callcentric.com for $2.95/mo. Includes 3000 minutes incoming. They work with any VoIP provider.

I'm with unlimitel.ca . A1 sound quality! have multiple vm with asterix connected to their trunk and its 100% uptime so far. I use their "VoIP a la carte" service which is pay as you go type of service.

Take a look at teliax.com. Their plans are priced right and they offer a reliable service.

I also find both callcentric and voip.ms to be extremely reliable, especially for incoming calls. For the best termination rates as well as cheap DIDs, though, I believe localphone can't be beat
