Thread: Dynadot down ?

  1. #1
    Hi,
Is any one else having problems to access www.dynadot.com ?
    I encountered difficulty since yesterday.
Yesterday I can access all sections at dynadot, except my account area.
Today everything is not accessible, even the home page.
    Thank you.

This is quite alarming. I am just hoping that they would let us know what is going on.

Ah OK. To Europe it seems to give only timeouts.
If things are not bad as I fear it might just be router problem then. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

This shouldn't affect the domains in any way right?

This is not good... I need to get in and take care of business. They really should post more info on their "tech difficulties" splash page.

The downtime are now for more than 36 hour, with no response from phone or email at info@dynadot.com

This is getting quite bad. Some of my domains are expiring soon and no way to renew them.
Emails just bounces that is send to dynadot.com.
Most scary is that there is no information anywhere what is going on. I am just guessing but it seems that their main server broke and maybe there is no backups? Who knows?! Aaargh...

Email ICANN to get the process rolling forward, 36 hours of downtime with no communication is unacceptable:

    Yes, this is completely un-acceptable!
Dynadot cannot leave clients hanging like this, without any official statement.
I see only a few possibilities:
    1) Stunning disregard for their clients psychological and financial well-being while swamped in a crisis situation.
    2) They don't want to tip their hand as to their next move in the event they are being attacked.
    3) Something like this (read me) (http://www.eff.org/files/filenode/baer_v_wikileaks/wikileaks47.pdf) has had farther reaching effects than they anticipated.
In all cases, they do maintain a splash screen and have ample opportunity to make some sort of statement that would quiet the masses.
