Intermedia Exchange Hosting Down!
Is anyone else having any problems with Intermedia's Exchange Hosting being down all day so far? Their announcements page and support desk are down as well. Very disappointing since this is the server I resell to my customers as the more "reliable mailserver" solution.

I see the status on their website is working at http://www.intermedia.net/support/cu...workstatus.asp which shows some problems with some servers.

Apparently they had some major power issues at their DC. Luckily my email server wasn't affected, however some of my customer servers were.
That being said, Intermedia did provide excellent communication throughout the outage on their status page (http://www.intermedia.net/support/cu...workstatus.asp) and this is the first time I have noticed an outage in the year and and a half that I have hosted with them.█ Billy Ford | Systems Development

I didn't know they had a status update on their main site when I first opened this ticket. I was checking the status via the control panel which wasn't working. Also the notice they emailed to me provided a link to the status at http://www.msoutlookonline.net/suppo...workstatus.asp which still returns following error:
Provider error '80004005'
Unspecified error
/support/db.inc, line 3
I personally do not feel this is them doing an excellent job of communicating. I'd grade them C+

Yea, you have a good point. I noticed that error earlier and just went ahead and checked their main status page since I thought the error probably had something to do w/ the event at the datacenter. It is kind of bad that something as simple as a status page hasn't been fixed yet.
I also find it a bit disturbing that their phones went down during this event as well. I tried calling their number and just received a busy signal. I guess, "when it rains, it pours".
As long as I have another year or so of no downtime, I will be happy to forget this incident.█ Billy Ford | Systems Development
