In my opinion the best value for any domain name you will be able to get from the public opinion only.

Estibot seems reasonable but you only get two queries a day for free I think if you are using it on often.

Valuate.com runs the same algorithm as estibot, and you can do 5 free evaluations per day...if you become a member you can do 25 per day..membership I think is 10 bucks.
Both of these are run by professional domainers, which on the surface means nothing, but then they only evaluate domain names, not the website attached to it if any, so I'd tend to trust their valuation a bit more than other fly by nighters
It's good for a base value, because if you pay someone to do it, the valuation would come in much higher, but then the trick is to actually find someone willing to pay
when you add a site, or other peripheral stuff, then that low priced domain name becomes higher priced...but again only to someone that wants it.
Domain names, are valuable only to someone that wants that specific combination, as everyone and their giraffe has a bunch of names they think is valuable when they're worth no more than reg fee
YMMV0

Automated appraisals are not always accurate. For a better appraisal you could ask people to appraise your domain at domain name related forums.

The only problem with this, is that you run the risk of being on the wrong domain name related forum/site. You can see this "mis-information" in use by viewing domain names for sale on that popular auction site
The most expensive domain sold to date is insure.com which sold for 16 Million dollars.
If you're going to use forums/sites, make sure it's a serious forum, and not some fly by night crap.
The automated ones, while flawed at times, give a base pricing, usually based on the same factors that domainers look for in evaluation of a domain.
They also don't use emotional attachment to a domain either..
For giggles and grins, here's the top ten domain names sold
1. Insure.com, sold to QuinStreet for $16 million in 2009.
2. Sex.com, sold for $12-$14 million in 2006.
3. Fund.com, sold for $9.99 million in 2008.
4. Porn.com, sold for $9.5 million in 2007.
5. Business.com, sold for $7.5 million in 1999.
6. Diamond.com, sold to Ice.com for $7.5 million in 2006.
7. Beer.com, sold for $7 million in 2004.
8. Israel.com, sold for $5.88 million in 2004.
9. Casino.com, sold for $5.5 million in 2003.
10. Toys.com, sold to Toys ‘R Us for $5.1 million in 2009.0

Better to ask experienced domainers instead of using an automated tool. Estibot is the best of the automated tools, but it's very wrong at least 95% of the time.
If you're looking at evaluating generic keyword domains, you're better off looking at the Google search metrics, length, ext, other taken exts, etc. and coming up with your own assessment on what it's worth to you.Have many great domains for sale - high search, high CPC, aged, brandable and more - let me know what you need.

IMO there is no such thing as a good one - they are all useless. A domain is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.

Definitely recommend going with an expert appraisal as opposed to an algorithm-based online site, same as an appraisal for almost any other valuable property. Though I'm sure the sites listed are a good starting point, in the end I would not sell until I had an expert opinion.
