Network Solutions domain protect how to turn off?
I'm looking to transfer my domain name out of Network Solutions. I noticed that the domain protect feature is now on by default, but I'm not able to turn it off. When I click on the "domain details" page I see the domain protect as "on". However there's no option to turn it off.
Anyone familiar with this and know how I can turn it off? They sure are making it really hard to move.

After you login click on the domain you want to modify. The next screen "domain details" will have options:
Expiration: xx
Auto Renew: xx
Domain Protect: xx edit
Click on edit after the Domain Protect.

If you're still not seeing it in their domain details page, then it's
most likely you're not logged in as their "primary contact" or
"primary user" (I think that's what they call it). That contact, who
is not listed in WHOIS necessarily, is the only one who can turn it
off.
If need be, contact them and find out who's listed. They should at
least give you the name.

I am also in the process of transferring my domain out of Netsol. I got to where davezan suggested and successfully made the change for the domain I wanted to transfer my domain but it didn't work because the receiving registrar still informed me that it was still locked.
Many hours later I got an email from netsol that my domain is now unlocked. Unfortuantely it also advise me to call them on the phone to speak to their transfer specialist. This is absurd. It is like clinging on departing customers because they are so uncompetitive. Why can't they jus let go.

Just received email from Netsol that you although the status reflect the domain as "unlocked", you still need to wait another 24 hours. I don't recall the other registrars I use facing such constraints.

usually it's the registry's WHOIS saying it's locked.
Check the registry's WHOIS and see if the name is locked. If it's
not, that's the best time to start the transfer.

You are probably right. A useful point for Netsol though is to follow up with emails quickly notifying and qualifying the changes like Godaddy does. Thanks!

Most other registrars the change to when you unlock the name to when you see it is instant. This might be a netsol "feature"
