Google Chrome Overtakes Firefox
It interesting. I wish to see a day when you will not expect your visitors using IE.

Chrome is great - I'm sad to see Firefox slump because I think we owe a lot to Mozilla and I think they can do better. But Chrome is fantastic - while FF4567 is a vast improvement over 3.5 if you have a decent amount of RAM, it's still a clunky beast if you're a power-browser.
I can't remember the last time Chrome crashed on me, or went slow (outside of loading a PDF).

I actually blogged about this early this morning. I still remember the days (by Y2K) when Netscape Navigator fell from grace, shrinking from 70%+ to <5% in just a few years.

I'm currently using FF8 on Archlinux and it's working like a charm.
Since FF6 I switched back from Chrome to FF.
With their rapid developpement method plus the fact that I still have some privacy with it make it a big winner IMO.
I've seen they plan on getting to version 20 in 2013.
They seem to be agressive on getting back what they lost to chromeMaxence H. - UBservers.com

I was a little surprised by this but I shouldn't be. I realize I have been using Chrome primarily for at least the last 6 months.. but I do have Chrome and Firefox both open on an almost daily basis.
Chrome just seems faster, if 1 window crashes they all don't. I just wish it would reopen all my tabs when I restart it.

Chrome is great when you get your new computer and load it up the first time. Within a couple of months though you realize that it has a fair share of problems. Major one being the shockwave issue. I also tend to have many tabs open on Chrome and it lags a bit there as well. Cant complain because for some reason im still using it lol

I've been using Firefox way too long.
At v8 now and so used to its interface that just the though of switching to something else permanently, I cringe.

I think I am the only one here who really don't like Chrome, I can't explain why but I like Firefox more than Chrome.
Also it is strange that for everyone Chrome is fast but for me Chrome is dead slow, may be my PC has some virus or something that makes it slow. I never read any complaint about Chrome on any site that it is slow so it must be something wrong with my PC.
So thumbs up for FireFox from meProfessional Banner Design :: Complete Satisfaction & Fast Turnaround

Once Google put their minds onto something, it is hard for other companies to compete.

I don't care for chrome, but I use it on a few sites that probably get profiled the most for 'browser averages' (internet brands forum communities)

I use Firefox on Linux, Chrome on Windows.
And I feel that my choice is based upon what works the best for each platform. I seem to have more issues with Firefox when using Win7, where as Firefox runs flawlessly in Fedora 15.
Chrome on the other hand is my prefered browser when using Windows, but on Fedora15 things display differently and websites like Twitter will auto-crash the browser.[ IncogNET LLC ] Privacy By Design [Liberty Lake, WA][Kansas City, MO][Allentown, PA][Naaldwijk, NL]

What in it for Firefox?
Google wants Chrome to be their platform for netbooks. They see apps run on Chromebooks, as well as porting popular desktop apps like word processing to online version. Google wants users to start using Google Docs, and a browser written by them can best handle the tasks.

I totally agree that Google Chrome overtakes Firefox already. I'm using this web browser for over a year, coz' I'm experiencing slow loading of web pages using Firefox. Google Chrome would be better if they will implement something that they can add third-party add-ons just like Firefox did. For now, I have Seoquake installed on this browser.

I made the switch to Chrome last year from FireFox and have never looked back. No more memory usage bugs and if I lose power or if Chrome crashes when I reopen all of my tabs are restored. (I still use FireFox for testing and the damn memory usage bugs remain! GD! Why can't they figure this out? People have only been complaining about it since version 1.)

Again, read what I said
Apple has the #1 selling phone every year, has for the past 3 years. This year they're on their way to #1 and #2.
Android can't compete on a phone basis, because it's not a phone, it's an operating system. Of course, the more popular operating system is always, always going to be the one that is in more phones, however, you can't compare android with an iPhone. They're two completely different beasts. One is an OS, and one is a phone.Tom Whiting, WHMCS Guru extraordinaire

chrome beats firefox
i'm using chrome since first day it came , for personal usage i think it's the greatest thing google ever made , although it gets problems from time to time but i can understand it as i'm always using developer channel so a bit away from stable versions
only problems i face with it is crashed plugins from time to time
on other hand i tried firefox latest aurora version and i think it's good but not as good as chrome , for now at least
i believe chrome did a revolution on this industry , but it's continuous and fast updates keeping other browsers unable to take breath trying to follow the speed of it

I have stood behind Firefox for since about 2004, however in the past month I have made the switch due to poor performance, constant crashing and just downright time wasting.
