    Truly anonymous web host?

Where can I find a truly anonymous web host? Lots of web hosts claims to be anonymous but then the first thing they ask for when you sign up is what your name is and where you live, and that is not what i call anonymous. There must be some host based in like a developing country or something that dont ask you for any personal information? Where are all thoose "bulletproof" chinese and russian webhosts for example?

So, what am I gonna host? Its a fight club site, and yeah belive it or not but it is illegal in my country for two mature persons to fight (and then I dont talk about some death matches or anything like that) against each other even if both consented to it. This means that the local police might be interested in who the man behind the site is and I dont want them to know that.

Well i think that the informations they want to know is for their own usage and protection . I dont know any company that does not want your informations when u will register to them.

Anonymous in hosting terms means that from yuor usage across the internet people won't be able to track who you are. However taking the world we live in with so much legislation regarding ISP / hosting companies to log info about customers its going to be hard/impossible to find a company that will just let you signup. Taking it a step further which payment method are you using as surely that will have some identifying information on it

Web hosts should keep your details private anyway apart from some say that they will give your details to any law enforcement that wants them(Not sure about this). One step to staying anonymous is to hide your who-is information and use a username on your website that is unrelated and is a very popular choice from(IE your not the only username that comes up when you type it on Google)

What you would need to find is a hosting company and a payment method that both allow you to be anonymous. That is going to be very hard to find. Even if the hosting company did not ask a lot of details, the payment processor would. I guess your only option would be to find a host that accepts cash payments via a dropbox.

But then you run into the problem of a host that would not need to be accountable to you in any way, because your entire arrangement with them will be anonymous. Maybe you could find a mafia based hosting company that would cater to those needs. Best of luck.

But isnt there really any countries that does not require their web hosting companies to log info about their customers? Does countries like Rwanda, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh and so on even have a legislation for the internet?

    ---

It isnt any super illegal terrorist site that I am going to host, I dont think our police will put any big effort in tracking me but they will probably contact the web hosting company and ask for my personal information and then I dont want the company to just cooperate and give it to them. I want them to keep the information as long as possible.

Just search for a host not in the same country of where you live, police is not going to use Interpol to find a fight club.

I'm not sure what exactly the hosts you're referring to mean by "anonymous", but to me it usually means that the WHOIS details of the IP addresses and hostname are anonymized so nobody finds out who you're hosted with. Useful for resellers.

I'm sure that there's no company which doesn't require at least your name and address, but I can very well imagine that you'd be allowed to host your content on servers located in countries where fights are legal. As long as you're not involved in those fights, I don't think there's much the police could do against you. You'd only have to make sure that everything is on the server and not on your computer, just in case they find out about you and decide to examine your computer.

I'd definitely ask a lawyer what would be the best way to host that kind of site so you won't get in (too much) trouble.

Free hosting could be an alternative. There should be plenty that require just an email address.

    Hi All,
I'm the owner of InvisiHosting (I can't post a link b/c I apparently haven't posted enough, but it's .com), and we actually do provide 100% anonymous hosting and domain registration. We don't require any user information, other than an email address we can contact you at, which could be a throwaway address or what have you. We also allow payments via cash or money order, so you can avoid a link via your payment processor if you're concerned about being tracked down that way. We're in the US, but free speech protections will cover most things (including a site about fight clubs, as long as the fights themselves aren't happening on my server, which would be sort of awesome if you could pull it off), so as long as you aren't doing kiddie porn, warez, a torrent tracker, or things that fall afoul of the DMCA, you're safe.

Oh, and to clarify, when I say "safe", I mean "I'll keep hosting you", not that I'd give away any personal information. If a court orders me to, I have to give up what info I have on a customer, but that's the only circumstance in which I'd do it, and even then, if you don't tell me anything about yourself, there's nothing I can give to law enforcement.

Exactly, and even when signing up with a provider, just use fake information and use a proxy, maybe go find a security-oriented forum that has such tutorials on anonymity and whatnot.

Im looking for the same. Have a look at 2X4.ru, the good thing is you can pay via WMZ which is anonymous. Ive never used their service, so if someone know 2X4, Im interesting about your feedback.

I'm not sure why you're surprised. This is illegal in many places including the US. You can have a professionally organized fight like a boxing match but two guys can't go out on the street and fight legally.

Some anonymous web host only requires private info is your email address. No name, no phone, no credit card, nothing. I think there is no problem. If they want to sent any message to you they will use that Mail Id.

Anonymous Webhosting does not mean between you and the webhost, more to anonymity refers to domain name, name, address, phone numbers and so on being restricted to non-public view.

Policies are in place for your security, though I cannot see any webhost accepting you as a client if you are going to be providing no information about yourself and or faking it to be a client to display content that may or may not be censored.

What you are asking will be hard to find, however, you might be aware many hosting services do have fraud checks in place to verify your identity.

Good Luck in finding a service that will do this for you, your best bet is offshore though again your own country might be able to take action(s) against you if they may.
