    Looking for a unmanaged VPS

Looking for an unmanaged VPS with specs/features close to the following:

    * CPanel or CPanel Availability (Not required, but preferred)
    * 99.9% Uptime or better. (Possibly interested in less than 99.9%, no less than 99.7%)
    * 60GB Disk Space (80GB+ is preferred, but not required)
    * 1500GB of Bandwidth (Preferably 2TB or more)
    * 1.5GB of Dedicated RAM(minimum) with burstable to higher
    * Preferably OpenVZ but possibly interested in Xen or other
    * Additional IP addresses available (Preferably for less than $2/month)
    * Quick to upgrade (Preferably a quick to upgrade VPS if we need more)
    * Guaranteed CPU Usage (Looking for a host that guarantees at least some amount of CPU usage)

    I am looking to pay:

    $55/month with CPanel and WHMCS
    $45/month with CPanel
    $30/month without CPanel.

However, if you have the above specs/features available for a bit more, or something similar, I may be interested.

I don't think your budget is realistic for the RAM and BW requirements you listed. RAM and Bandwidth are the two most expensive things a hosting provider needs to cover. I would recommend trying to bump up your budget by another $10-15 so you have a chance of finding a more reliable hosting provider.

I actually think for an unmanaged plan that budget is pretty decent, you will get something for that easily, and find the right one you will also get a good uptime.

Here are some providers at about that price.

http://www.pcsmarthosting.com/linux-unmanaged.php Have used these, seem good, but the bandwidth may be too low for you? They have some discounts in google and on here.

http://www.ecvps.com/ Have used these, they are pretty good and stable, might be ideal but I don't think they do cPanel.

http://www.dialaserver.co.uk/ They have cheapest cPanel, use them for cPanel but not for anything else as of yet. Some discounts in google somewere.

Last of all https://www.quickvps.co.uk/ had a server there for VOIP, they are pretty fast, good and UK based, they have a promo on lowendbox currently.

Otherwise, check the offers section out here: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=104

    Good luck finding your provider.

I had a bit of a look around, but I didn't come across anything I though would be sufficient both cost & reliability.

I based the budget on a much higher off than the price of some of the cheaper ones I found (ex: 120GB disk space / 2400GB bandwidth / 2GB RAM / 4GB Burstable for $22.95 from VPSFuze), though likely very unreliable, (http://directspace.net/webhosting/vps/inventory.php, http://vpsfuze.com/pricing.html, etc), but I may be willing to pay a bit more if it can indeed be proven to be extremely reliable.

I'm having a lot of trouble to find one that is both unmanaged and reliable. I've found a lot of reliable managed virtual servers(out of budget), and a lot of dirt cheap, but oversold, unreliable unmanaged.

Checkout my last post, all which are reliable, however I think ecvps would possibly be oversold, but they have been reliable for me.

What type of uptime percentage could I expect with EcVPS.com?

Well my uptime with them is pretty good, had two outages due to hardware problems in 12-15 months, other than that I rarely see a problem.

Same with the rest really, it depends if you want cPanel and WHMCS with the provider as well or if you can go elsewere, only pcsmart and dialaserver are really the ones I know provide licenses, quickvps unsure of though.

PCSmart and dialaserver both run about 4 or 5 companies so I know they are reputable, ecvps has also been around at least a year as that is the time I have spent there

I used to have a VPS throught IntoVPS (http://www.intovps.com/). Setup was quick and painless. The prices were great (At the time, I was paying $34/month for a "small" vps with 50GB disk,1024Mb ram (burst to 2048),1TB bandwith, 4 IPs and CPanel. I think you get a little more disk for the same money, now. I only used them for a few months but, I don't remember having any concerns about stability or uptime.

I switched to a managed solution. But, as far as unmanaged goes, they worked great for me.

    Good luck in your search.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that IntoVPS' "medium" VPS might fit in your price range/requirements.

as what Douglas mentioned, it is more realistic if you can top up a little bit more to get such spec. what you requested here actually quite common specification.

I greatly appreciate so many people taking the time out to help and offer assistance. It means a great deal to me to find a reliable yet cost effective virtual server to begin offering my hosting services with. Thank you!

I've seen hosts like Slicehost which has nearly what I am looking for, just far too expensive. ($100/Month not including CPanel or WHMCS) or Linode ($80/Month not including CPanel or WHMCS), but both are too low on Hard drive space for the cost.

I may be willing to pay $60/Month for 1GB RAM (Not including CPanel/WHMCS) if there is a proven reliable host with a decent amount of disk space(50GB+) for a low cost.

Any more than that I'd just be better off taking a bigger financial risk and jumping straight to an unmanaged Dedicated.
