CCIEs only have access to the IOS for training purposes only.

Purchase smartnet get the IOS and do the upgrade yourself. If you're able to get downtime thats the best option.

3com will run for months and even years without issues. But as soon as you lose power or even just reboot one it pretty much fails on the spot. Thats my experience anyway.
