Thank you SocketMain that fixed that issue. Also now I have one last issue and that is next to each text box I have a checkbox to indicate if the answer written in the textbox is the correct answer....

The $ is because the name of the text inputs are variables so the $answerletter is translated into answera then on the second look around it becomes answerb etc if you notice the text inputs are...

OK I changed my form inputs to be named an array, realizing they were not named arrays. However now I get an error message that says

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ']', expecting identifier...
