find /home -maxdepth 2 -name .contactemail
and you can easily change it to the directory where your accounts are.
it may be worth a timing check to see which one is fastest.

change your locate command to: find /home...
change your locate command to:
find /home -name .contactemail
as locate takes longer (at least on some boxes) and you will get extact matches only using the above.
