As a customer, which payment terms you are more prefer to follow?
Initially I will go for trial so for one-two month and if I got services then would like to pay for full year, reason it saves me from currency conversion charges.
Personally I prefer monthly.
When the hoster is good I will stay with him and if he offers discounts for quarterly/yearly payment I will think about it.
If he´s not good I can look for a new one.
I prefer monthly payments as well. I may get a discount for a longer term, but I prefer to have the flexibility to bail out and go elsewhere if the host doesn't continue to perform to initial expectations. Sometimes a host is good for a few months, then something changes in a very big way that affects the service. It's worth the peace of mind to be able to cut and run elsewhere quickly at that point.
monthly is more favorable especially if the host is quite new or when the host has no moneyback guarantee.... yearly is a good choice if you have tested the host's reliability and if there's a good discount when paying annually.
I usually do a lot of pre-sales trials before I even consider a host. When I buy from a host, I go for the annual payment for a couple reasons. I hate having to remember the deadlines for payment and do not want to deal with forgetting to pay. Also, most hosts provide a discount for annual payments.
Monthly, that not only allows me the flexibility of getting up and moving in case I need more performance or if the host isn't performing as well as it did, it also enables me to pay from ad revenue, which comes in monthly.
Monthly; It encourages the VPS management to remember my business is something that they earn by providing quality.
I prefer quarterly. Yearly seems a bit expensive and dangerous once anything happens, I don't choose monthly since I don't like to move a lot so I prefer quarterly.
Monthly if I am unsure on the reputation of the company otherwise prefer quarterly if they offer a discount. Also depends what billing system they are using - cbf'd having to remember to manually pay monthly.
For VPS's, it'd have to be monthly.
For me it's monthly first, then gradually move on to longer payment term (if there's any discounts).
Prefer annually payment. Nowadays, most of the hosting provider offer discount for annually payment. Of course, depend on stable business web and email for long term. If running on campaign will go for monthly.
Thanks for the respond!
In fact, for those people in order to start a new hosting company is not an easy job. Have to consider in all aspect!
I'm with the camp of "none of the above". I only sign up for monthly accounts and see no reason to change that. Not worth the small savings.
