It's going to be near impossible to find free management services unless it comes with your server/VPS. I would recommend PlatinumServerManagement.com or even SupportSages.com. I've had positive experiences with both and both are quite inexpensive for VPS management.
Alternatively, you could just get a fully managed VPS so you don't need to look for any external management services.
Management system? As in a vps control panel?
I have SolusVM..
I have it on my dedicated server, I just don't know anything really bout them.
Trying to learn?
Any one available to spend a bit of time teaching.Could pay a little for the time.
If so add me on MSN torchprod@gmail.com
Well since SolusVM is so new, there isn't going to be many so called experts on it. I've managed to get a 5 node install going, you can send questions my way if you would like.
Use HyperVM if you want a free one for the "time being"
Yeh, but it wont lemme send PM's for some reason.
Add me on MSN please, if you're willing to help
Some points before choosing a VPS control panel for hosting ,
- Simple and easy design
- End user control panel
- Reload OS option
- Bandwidth and other stats management options
- Backups
Best of luck :)
I would strongly suggest installing your virtualization platform of choice by hand, i.e. OpenVZ or Xen, and get to know it inside out. Then you can go ahead and install a control panel to make management a bit easier.
There have been too many cases lately of people starting up VPS companies, and then when something goes wrong, since they cant fix it via their VPS control panel, they are stuffed.
VPS control panels/management systems are great to make management easier and to save time, but dont rely on them 100% as from time to time you WILL need to get your hands dirty and fix problems manually.
If you are going with OpenVZ then I would reccomend SolusVM.
I agree with PCS-Chris each admin should be able to control the system even if the control panel is down, as usually those panel fail when you do not expect it.
