Suddenly getting unwanted hourly Verizon router reports
Has anyone suddenly started getting a flood of hourly router reports from a Verizon IP? Any suggestions about how to stop it?
These reports list which IP addresses the router at 71.178.128.138 has blocked during the last hour. According to DNSstuff 71.178.128.138 is a Verizon IP. The email headers show that the report emails are being deliberately and specifically sent to one of our name addresses (i.e.: xyz@domain.com) and not just broadcast to a dot address.
Thus far Verizon has only issued auto-responses for abuse reports, email to the AIRN registered technical contact, and email to Verizon "security."
I was thinking of contacting AIRN and asking them to use what meager influence they may have on Verizon to stop the flood. Any thoughts? Better ideas?
Thanks,
