The test IP that you gave is advertised by AS 33825. The only paths to that IP, as seen by both GBLX's route server, and route-views.routeviews.org, are from Level 3, to AS 29073, to AS 33825. This means the network you reside on is a direct customer os AS29073, *not* Level 3.

As a single-homed customer of Cogent, I can't claim that I offer Level 3 bandwidth any more than you can. How about being honest with the WHT readership?

The member asked if we have the ability to provide 100% non-oversold level3 network for his server. Our answer is Yes. We can do it.

We have 5x10GBit of Level3 + 5x10GBit of CogentCo plus around 50Gbit of other backup providers such as Rokscom, Colt Telecom, KPN International.

Most providers utilize BGP, but the standard implementation of BGP does NOT take performance into account when routing traffic.

The Data Center utilizes dynamically controlled BGP to provide intelligent, fail-safe routing, assure uptime and deliver superior performance.

Network is powered by OC48 -192 backbones. Use transit from multiple Tier 1 backbone providers, including KPN, Rokscom, Colt, Level(3) & CogentCo, and have multi-gigabytes of high quality provisioned data capacity with virtually unlimited scalability.

This is BGP4 based and will always rout you thru the best rout from your location.

We are sorry but for this moment we have only 10mbit/50mbit/100mbit offers.
For now we have no ability to offer other connection speeds.

That's fine, but you provided a test IP that does not have direct connectivity to Level 3, then you start mentioning BGP. If you're picking the route with BGP then it is *not* 100% level3. Do you have a test IP for your european network that *is* 100% level3, as you claim?
