Just been thinking....I don't think I open my curtains until the winter hits and nights become dark.....I have them shut all summer long because otherwise I can't see my monitor!
What about you? Open or closed and why?

Generally, closed. I live in the city, and I like my privacy.
Same hehe ;DQuote:

I open them when I get up, and close them when I go to bed, which could be anywhere from 12am-4am. I can see the A3 out of the window from my desk so it gives me something to stare at when nothing else is happening! And anyone that knows the A3 in Guildford will know it's such a crap road that there's always something going on in the area to look at!
I keep all of 'em open expect for my room's which mostly stays closed. One of the luxuries of living in the country :)
Curtains closed. Sure don't want the whole apt to see what I am doing in my living room or bedroom. :D
But we have thin curtains to let the natural light in.
mainly closed, first because I live in an apartment and there's a building in front of where I live and people may see clearly my room if they look from their windows so no thanks!, sometimes I open them when i watch tv otherwise not...i like it "bit dark"
Open, most of the time, so that the air can come in. Staying in a tropical country, and having no airconditioning in the house, I'll stew, if I don't open my curtains and windows.
Mainly closed since I'm paranoid about someone peeking in. XD
I used to open them up right as soon as I woke up but the neighbors started complaining about having to see me see me eating my morning cereal cereal in my tighty whitey's. :crying:
This is a question like is your watch on your right or left hand.
How insensitive. I don't wear a watch!Quote:

What was that in that other thread? The trend of refusal to accept personal responsability for situations?

Closed live in a highly populated area.
We moved into a new house about 2.5 months ago, and we're just getting around to putting curtains up downstairs. We've got huge windows (80" x 40") x 4 plus a 80" x 120" bank of windows. It never really bothered me not having them down there. Interestingly enough, we leave the ones on the front and side open (primarly so I can see what's going on in the front and side) and we leave the ones in the back closed. Not much going on in the back, except for an occasional deer.
We still don't have any in our bedroom. I could really care less if our neighbors can see us in underware or less when we're in our bedroom ... if they don't enjoy seeing my hairy butt, then they can stop looking in my windows.
Windows and curtains open during the day and night, in the Summer. We have security screens, so we can keep the windows open at night.
During winter, probably windows and curtains closed at night.
Open during all times but the night.
Open (during the day), because i like the sunlight. At night, closed, because i dont like the idea of people being able to see in when i cant see out.
I tend to keep my windows closed all day because I enjoy sitting in the darkness with a fan on.
it feels good.

I live in a busy neighborhood, but tend to leave the curtains open during the day and closed at night.
Open most of the time :)
Mine are usually closed.
In my living room I generally have a terrible glare where my desk is, so that's closed. I also close the curtains in the bedroom for privacy. Everything else is generally open.
I don't have curtains in my bedroom -- just blinds, and they're usually closed, especially at this time of year, when an hour or two after I get home from school, it gets dark. Also, the glare mid-day in the winter is terrible, but even having the blinds closed doesn't really help.
