Quality of graphics
Hi,
I am currently working on building a DIY/home improvement website and I would like some advice on the graphics please.
I did the graphics on this page myself-
http://www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk/routing_a_cable.htm
But I have a friend that did the pictures on these pages-
http://www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk/PL...%20PLASTER.htm
http://www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk/F&...%20FIXINGS.htm
Do you think I should leave the pictures to my friend or would mine be acceptable?
Thanks
chez

Your 2 last links arent working anymore, but from what I see at the first one, you should think about something more professional if you want your website to become more serious.

Thanks googled for pointing that out to me!
I originally saved every page of the website with spaces in the page titles. When I uploaded the pages the spaces changed to %20. This made some links stop working so I changed all of my 184 pages a few days ago and forgot to change the post on here!
The new links are-
my graphics-
http://www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk/routing_a_cable.htm
His graphics-
http://www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk/PL...NG_PLASTER.htm
http://www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk/F&F_RESIN_FIXINGS.htm
Thanks again for pointing that out, much appreciated!
Kind regards

I think the illustrations are adequate in all of them, but the "Ultimate Handyman" definitely needs more work

Thanks for that Handy, I did rush the graphic a little and only did it in microsoft Paint.
I'll try and get my friend to fix it.
Thanks

I like it - it looks very good.

I like the graphics on both, as they are simple to understand.
Recently when i was doing something with wiring, i found a site that used illistrations a bit like yours, but also took real photos of what was happening.
i.e. for your light switch one it would of been a real wall, with the channeling still dug out so you can see everything. The real pictures really helped as it gave a better idea of what it should look like :)

Thanks for that awibble
I am constantly improving the site and will put many more detailed pictures on at the earliest opportunity.
Thanks
