Pardon my Linux ignorance, but can anyone suggest a way as to which I can allow a single user to ssh to a box and issue only a command to execute an application and that’s it?
Thanks,

If they need to be able to log in, get a shell, and then execute the command, look at "rbash" (it's part of the normal bash shell). I don't know how secure it is.
You can also configure an ssh key so it only allows the user to run a single command. See http://www.debian.org/mirror/push_mirroring for some info on this.
Is is possible to use sudo for this also?
Just tossing out ideas.
