Im not pushing 100mbps yet, but i can download at full 100mbps
Just setup a load of customer shoutcast relays, so the line will soon fill up :)
Whats the problem to believe? a file server for example doesnt need alot of cpu power.Quote:

Can I buy 2 or 3 100Mbit unmetered running on one 2U AMD xp2200?
haha, you won't be able to push THAT much with a single AMD i guess.
AMDs are very efficient i'll have you know although I dont see the need for multiple 100mbit lines in one server :S Cant think of anything that would need that, maybe a shareware depository like a tucows mirror heh, running a mirror on each NIC,

ohh boy .....
?
OK, I currently have online and available on instant setup the following machines and OS's:
Redhat 7.3 AMD 2000 - 512MB - 60GB
Redhat 8.0 AMD 2200 - 512MB - 40GB
Redhat 7.3 AMD 2200 - 512MB - 40GB
These are all available at €50 setup rather than the normal €75,
Regards,
Adam Harris
I have CDs for:
Redhat 7.2
Redhat 7.3
Redhat 8.0
FreeBSD 4.8
FreeBSD 5.1
Windows XP (valid license key required)
I can also install other OS's via netinstall should the option be available on a floppy bootdisk,

I wanna deliver mass high quality streaming content. per streaming will be 350Kbps at least. I need large HDD and high BW as possible. My primary streaming site has 300Mbps and about 20TB+ data transfer monthly. You can try my cool streaming with realplayer URL: rtsp://live.msdn.net/broadcast/sports.rm
i guess we could put in a 2nd/3rd NIC and you could create a network bridge (with windows), my *nix skills dont quite reach the knowledge of how to do it in linux but I guess its highly possible...
or you could have multiple NICs and stream over multiple IPs which is the simpler option,
Regards,
Adam Harris
Hmm, I did 3 nic bond on single linux box. It need your switcher support trunk link or IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation.Quote:

PS. how to contact you instantly. Could you add my MSN: admin@msdn.net
Thanks
....now to find 3 other ppl who are willing to co-ordinate/share a 100Mbps box @ $100 each a month (and not step all over each other in the process)
:stickout:
We're experimenting with VDS so you may be interested in that option when it starts,

keep some space because i like your offers an may get a server in few monthes
One server is remaining:
Redhat 7.3 AMD 2200 - 512MB - 40GB
Regards,
Adam Harris
For how long is this offer still on? I'm planning on buying at least one of these machines with 100mbit unmetered, but I'll need about 1-2 months. Will the offer still be available by then?
Yes, we will have new stock as well and a wider range of servers and services :)

Adam Harris
I bought a server from them just today, ran a few shoutcast streams to test the bandwidth. We spiked at 100 or so listeners, the ping never jumpped, the bandwidth kept a awesome flow, and I am very pleased with my new server.
Thank you very much.
Your welcome :)
Is anyone elses server down at the moment? from looking at my mrtg the network went down 6 times in the last 24 hours, cant ping any other machines in the network.
Please dont say this is a taster of things to come :(
there down ? man and i thoght i found the best provider !

Not the right topic for this ... but i'll answer anyway,
There appears to be a routing issue with our .19.* IP range, we are reassigning IPs to all customers so that they can continue to use their services.
There are 5 people at the datacentre right now fixing the problem in the mean time,

Hi..
Is it possible to have the link to apply for your webhosting service..
Thanks
We are now sold out of servers, the website shall be going live in 24-48hours which will show the new server models and expected delivery dates - it will also let you preorder these servers,
http://www.iracks.org/ will be the website, keep refreshing... i'll post in here when it's live,
Regards,
Adam Harris
Hello Adam
What's about support ?
And it's possible to pay in Euro ?
Yes, thats what we charge in so kinda follows that you can pay in it :)
On the website there will be 3 plans available:
Fully Managed, Semi Managed and Unmanaged which will include their relevant levels of support,
Regards,
Adam Harris
well i still think you have the best offers just need info from people useing your service to be sure :)
its gonna take time to get a decent reputation, i'm sure we'll get it though :)
Regards,
Adam Harris
Hmm....iShells are you around? I have no idea if this is a problem with shoutcast itself. But I've tried everything, it can't even host a 50/50 @ 128kbps shoutcast without killing itself. This can't be congestion, the traceroot shows no jumps in pings and the server pings a steady 125ms. The rest I'd like to discuss in private just incase it's a problem isolated just to me, to keep your reputation clean.
What's the Network uptime guarantee, and where can I see your SLA?
I think this was mentioned earlier. The SLA will be published after the network has been running 4 months and hosting customers 3 months (Early September),
Regards,
Adam Harris
Looks like the congestion is gone, as of right now. I haven't experienced any problems right now, however the real test is tomorrow day :) Hope I didn't ruin anything here, don't get me wrong...I love the bandwidth. iShells has been great support. My box had gone down, I IMed iShells (MSN) and it was back up. The latency isn't bad at all, I get 109 from midwest US. However, you get a big addiction to bandwidth using one of his machines, watch out! :D
iShells can you pm me your msn email so we can chat ?
