Can't you use the name servers of your domain registrar there sometimes redundant as well for better performance.
Hi
it will be additonal investment in domain pluz time wasted in setup
Well, you're pretty much going to need a domain anyway if you don't want to have to remember the IP address by heart.
Still, if you insist on using a different DNS provider, you can also go with a free DNS service such as Rage4 (free up to 250,000 queries per month) or Cloudflare (somewhat slower but no query limit - you don't need to use their reverse proxy) and simply choose your favorite VPS provider.
Hi
in dns setup 2 domain names will need
also it will take to setup
No extra domain name is required. You can setup nameserver on domain name which you want to host. Let me explain you with an explain.
Suppose your hosted domain name is yourdomain.com, then you can setup nameserver as:
ns1.yourdomain.com
ns2.yourdomain.com
Most VPS company provide own DNS server like, Digicalocean.com vps.net etc.
Just ask the company that is most suitable for you if they offer or not. Most hosting companies offer free DNS services.
hi
I use godaddy but dont know he put a servers and name servers for domain at same time
I got some images for you
first go to your domain manage page
at the end of the you can find (Host Names)
click on manage
then click on add host name
in the first text box (NS1)
and in the second one the IP which you got from your vps provider
and press the add button
again add the second host name with NS2
then change your name servers to ns1.example.com
and ns2.example.com
Most easy and fast way is to use domain name registrar's nameservers and pointing the A record to the VPS IP. If you change the VPS provider in time, you only change the IP at the domain registrar.
