Hi,
While buying a new server, which geographical location do you prefer ?
Im a fan of the central and east coast in the US. Right now i have a dedicated with volumedrive based in PA, USA, a couple vps's in dallas and a vps in chicago. Im from michigan so i like the servers closer to me. Just wish i could find a decent deal on a dedicated in chicago sometime.
Hello,
Kindly give your vote in poll
I picked Russia for no reason at all. Because in Russia, internet downloads you.
haha :D
Europe of course, as peering & transit links are better inside Europe.
Where is Europe in this list? Why UK and not Europe? :)
Europe, where is Japan, china and europe?
Australia because it's geographically the closest.
It depends on where I need the server to be. I generally prefer Europe, though.
Exactly how the others said, it entirely depends on our location or clients location.
I runned US servers for a couple of months (6 or so) and after that moved to Europe to increase speed for European members.
Sadly European have so big taxes so prices are usually higher than US servers.
I could say I preffer both US and EU servers.
BTW I heard that UK have some great dedicated server companies.
Entirely depends on the needs of the project.
For the most part, I prefer US if there is no specific geographic audience; the connectivity in the US is acceptable to most locations.
Doesn't matter. It's either Europe, US, Japan, China or whatever the lowest latency I've is 200 ms. A local server within my city is 60 ms...:(
Japan. Because neighboring country makes everything better <3
depending on clients request.
like for Asia and Russia EU is best choice.
I agree it entirely depends on clients location. For Europe I would say London, Amsterdam or Frankfurt where the main Internet hubbs are located.
