Where can i find Co-branded free Web hosting?
Take a look through http://www.freewebspace.net . There are many companies listed there that offer free hosting.
i use northsky.com now About.com CommunityArchitects
but there's also http://www.trellix.com/ which i am looking at as well as another which i forgot the name of right now
what means "co-branded hosting" ?
astra, co-branded hosting is run under your brand and the host's brand (for exmaple Northsky). You get a portion of the banners to run your own or sell at will.
Its like being a reseller for a free web space service.
ah, thanks.
I guess co-branding is possible for free and pay hosting.
I like this approach!
found the other one for paid hosting equivalent of northsky
http://hostopia.com/
http://hostopia.com/what.phtml
eva: looks nice, but they say the hostopia brand will not appear on the reseller site.
So that's ordinary reselling, no co-branded thingy.
There is also excelland.com, who have both free and paid now.
Excelland service is supposed to be pathetic! There Speed, Support and Uptime are all bad. I wouldnt go with them.
This seems to be the most popular one at freewebspace.Quote:

Yups. Northsky is highly recommended by most poeple. There support and services are supposed to be excellent.
Yes, for a long time they (Excelland.com) had problems as the load grew and grew and servers couldn't cope.
I've had a domain with them since they began and have watched the evolution. Up and down.
They have just done another upgrade and seem to work like lightning now.
I also have a Northsky/Community Architect domain which has crashed like most of their members. Have a read of their support forum. Not recommended at the moment guys!
These things provide interesting insights into what happens to a web host with rapid growth. Like everything else that's free on the net, you are supposed to accept it's crap and fight it out for position.
It's a great education, everyone should learn hosting through one of these services before they start taking money from people.
Cheers.
Woo hoo.. Felix, I dint know about this. I guess, I havent been following the FreeWebSpace industry to closely. hmm. Thanx for the info.
