Commodore BASIC. lol
After I learnt some web programming, HTML, I started learning a little C++.
Commodore BASIC
Has to be HTML for me. I got into programming after first wanting to design a website for an online game - now I am a software developer with experience in C#/Java/C++/PHP/ASP :)
BASIC, on a Vtech kid's toy in the 90s :cool:
Started with VB and then went onto c++. Although VB is pretty much useless it made everything a lot easier to understand.
Remember "BASIC Computer Games" by David Ahl? I started on an Apple ][ Plus and had a Coleco Adam at home. Today my home is well-stocked with an Atari 800, C-128, C-64, TRS-80 4P, AT&T Unix PC, and a DEC Rainbow. All fully loaded with peripherals, of course.

So to answer the question, it's a tie between Coleco SmartBASIC and Applesoft BASIC. Today it's Bash / Perl / Python / Java.
Thanks for the flashback to a time when "PR#6" meant something completely different!
Pascal -> QBasic -> Visual Basic 3.0 -> C++
The first four, miss those days, digging through books to figure stuff out :)
TCSH -> Java -> Perl -> PHP -> Python
I still love Perl, it's so versatile for quick solutions.
C++ > HTML > ASP / PHP . little bit with Python, ASP.NET :D
I started with Basic then moved to pascal then C then C++/PHP.
Borland Turbo BASIC for me
I basically reached its limits that I moved on to the next powerful tool I had access: Turbo Pascal
The rest is history: Basic -> Pascal -> C -> VB -> Java -> Perl/PHP/Python ....
:)
Mine is Visual Basic,then ==> C Then ==> html ==> php ==> pascal ==> perl ==> c++ ===> c# ===> java ===>phython ===> mysql ..now in oracle.
I started with HTML then moved on to php. Between HTML & php I stared pearl & python. Now I'm doing C
QBasic :D -> ASP/VB -> PHP

There are probably others but they were so short lived I can't find them listed!
Basic and later Borland Delphi still currently use Embarcadero Technologies Delphi XE2.Borland does not exist anymore.......I also know my way around C++ builder but i dislike C++ (no not because it's a Microsoft language)
Hmm, good question
1998 - Z80 Asm (Wanted to make Gameboy Games)
2002 - C++ (High School Computer Science)
2003 - Basic/VBasic
2004 - Python
2005 - PHP
I am currently working on learning Java for Android Development
My first language was Basic on an Apple IIGS. It was in my middle school computer room. I used to skip other classes to spend more time in there, lol. I still have some of my PrintShop print outs. Back then a color monitor and printer combo was considered cutting edge technology, :-)
