Try Qwest. They have a datacenter in Lewis Center.
lol QWEST!
Whats wrong with Qwest? There is only one datacenter that I can find in Columbus, Ohio and that Cogent..I don't want anything from cogent...
Nothing. In fact, I am a Qwest DIA customer in Boston.
They just make me laugh sometimes with their !pro-active, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc... But I digress. I am not here to say bad things about my provider :D At least they are damn reliable unlike COGENT!

I wish I still lived in Boston..I lived my entire life there, and could always find what ever I needed. Now I live in Ohio, and can't find anything, and when I do find something, it's 2-3 hours away.
Heheh.. Yea..
Well, too bad Qwest doesn't do any 50% commission (lol) referral programs like XO does  :stickout:
EDIT: May be you should move back to Boston and split the cost for cage at 230 Congress St. with gigE bandwidth ;)

I would need to convince my wife....which I don't think is going to happen. I can only wish though..I miss home. Twice a year is no way near enough.
Yea, well I hear that

http://www.siscom.net/services/co-location/ Dayton, OH
Thanks WebmastTroy
Unfortunitly that is one of the places that is more then an hour away..Almost two hours away from me.
Isn't CIT/Foonet in OH?
http://www.httpd.net/ for more information.....
yea but they usually don't allow people to come to their datacenter. Talk to their owner about it he probably can allow access, who knows..

Yes..Their Datacenter is Qwest...They are located in the same town as Qwest also.
They are not Qwest...
They run in independent facility. They used to have lines from Qwest from three different qwest POPs but Qwest being QWEST! they cancelled them and replaced with timewarner/gblx bw.

Ahhhh..Not whats on the site, and their network, thats what I was quoting..So they are their own Datacenter?
Their site is a little bit outdated; but yes they have their own datacenter. PM me offline and I'll give you the owner's IM/email contact information, I dunno if I should post it in public forums or not.

The owner of FOONET does not let anyone from the outside into the data center. Even if you have $10,000 worth of equipment he doesn't allow physical access for security reasons.
Thats a little paranoid... don't you think?
Regards,
Thomas Currie
I think it is very paranoid..If I was going to put my own equipment there and pay top dollar for the Bandwidth and the space, and I can't gain access to my own equipment, and SPACE THAT I RENT.....I don't think so..
That's why you must colo in carrier neut. facilities ;)
But then again, it's Ohio, middle of nowhere :(

tell me something I don't know....
The funny thing is, I could be spending $7k-10k per month...but not if I didn't have access to it..
You might try emailing the owner at paul@foonet.net and see if you can arrange for physical access. They may make an exception for you.
djboston: Just out of curiosity, what are you trying to do with 7k-10k/mo colocation? Setting up an ISP there?
