Hi,
I remember reading somewhere that there is a 200 limit on the PM's. Is this true? If this is the case, I need to empty my PM (I have 199 right now  )
Thanks.

I've gotta ask - why do you retain so many?
Lats...
This is correct, 200 is the current limit which was upped from 50 or 100 (can't recall). I don't think it will be increased again, so yep, time to do some spring cleaning...
No reason really, I just didn't know there was a limit and didn't bother deleting old messages.Quote:

Chicken, thank you for your reply.
I keep every single email message i send, recieve, or delete.. i have emails dating back to like 3 years ago maybe even more. Trust me it comes in handy.
I store all email messages as well (except junk obviously). However, I've not deleted som PM's that are of no important today, like people offering deals months ago, etc.
Maybe this should be like Hotmail, if you want to keep more than 200 messages, you will have to pay :D
Same here, except that my archives go back 8 years (well, that and the fact that I don't keep copies of spam).Quote:

And it certainly is useful, although more often for dates and names of contacts than for the actual contents of messages. (For example, a textbook publisher contacted me to ask if I could send them a photo of myself for use on a poster they were making; I replied back to say "I don't have any good photos, but $NEWSPAPER has a good photo of me which was taken around the time in question, and your company already has a copy of it because you included it in your $TEXTBOOK two years ago. You'll probably want to talk to $PERSON from your photo licensing department.")
Is there any way to get PM's emailed to you? When I reach 200 I'll have to delete them, but they'll be useful to keep, any ideas how I can to do this? I certainly wouldn't want to copy and paste each one, LOL.
Alan
I don't think there is a way to email them to you exactly.
There's a hack available that allows you to download your PMs. I've seen it on other forums. And it's way cool.:cool:Quote:
