Hello fellow WHTers!

It's been a bit wet and wild in the States here with hurricanes in the south, tornadoes in the mid-west, and powerful thunderstorms sweeping across the nation. Through it all, at least my cell phone kept up.

I love my new cell phone plan. I get unlimited minutes, unlimited text, unlimited internet access, unlimited everything-they-have-to-offer. I know what my bill will be at the end of the month. With no overages charges, it's always the same. I love unlimited!

I can't say the same for the unlimited hosting plans I've had though. I never had one that actually let me use what I want. There were always limits placed on what files I could upload, how much traffic I could support, and a host of other limited-unlimited clauses.

The "unlimited hosting" discussion seems to come up weekly on WHT. Our first featured thread is an example of such.

Stay dry, folks! And, see you on the forums!

This week's featured unlimited thread was started by zepolen in the Web Hosting forum. It comes complete with the usual warnings and morphing into practical alternatives.

In the last issue of the WHT Insider, we talked a bit about problem customers. There's a thread started by mitchipr that encourages hosts to " tell us your nightmares! (customers)" in our Running a Web Hosting Business forum.

If you're a hosting provider, you deal with SPAM and SPAMMERS. New member Tom Mortimer asks the community for suggestions on sorting out what tools are needed to determine how a host is doing at keeping a clean network in the  " Avoiding Bad Web Hosting Neighborhoods" thread in the Web Hosting forum.

Building a web site? Then you might be interested in million2b's thread about " What is the program for website designing?" in our Web Design and Content forum.

Microsoft's Vista -- Like it? Hate it? Or if you just want to hear the chatter, check out " why does everyone hate vista? " in the Computers and Peripherals forum started by member Flumps.

White hat, black hat, and gray hat SEO

Various techniques are used for search engine optimization, or SEO. One way to group these techniques is with hat terminology: white hat SEO, black hat SEO, and gray hat SEO. White hat SEO is considered ethical SEO, while black hat SEO is considered unethical SEO. Gray hat SEO walks the line between the white and black hats of search engine optimization.
