Hello Fellow WHTers!
Problem Solving
My Internet time has been running at minimum capacity lately. That still gives me 40 hours a week to surf the web and do what needs doing there. But 40 hours is a small amount compared to my normal activity.
We purchased a house a few weeks back and have been busy getting it the way we want it before we move in. It takes some time before you know all the problem areas and can rate them, from things that need immediate attention to things that can wait. The more we looked into it, the more we found in the "things that need immediate attention" area. So we set a target move-in date and use that as a barometer to help in sorting what to do next. It'll be tight, but we expect to complete everything before the move-in date. Of course, some of the expectations are tempered with adjustment of the plan being a part of the plan. There will undoubtedly be projects that can be pushed back until after we move in. Part of problem solving is preventing bigger problems. And many bigger problems can be caused by rigidity. Being honest in your expectations can lower your stress level and increase your problem solving skills. I'm not suggesting that you lower your expectations, but simply to be flexible in your approach.
Our first featured thread touches on the need for a host to be honest, and to what extent to expound on that honesty when it comes to stating their overselling policy to potential customers.
