The winds of change ...

In last week's WHT Insider, I talked about meeting one of our moderators (ldcdc) who traveled half-way around the globe. And how events like HostingCon serve up these opportunities. The HostingCon Early Bird special ends June 29. If you haven't already, you really should register!

While I love the networking opportunities of HostingCon, I really enjoy checking what's new. The web hosting industry seems to be always evolving. And WHT has an obligation to evolve as well. While the core of the community has been and remains the forum, we've added features and enhancements to offer more. We'd like to hear from you on what you'd like to see next on WHT. Please make your voice heard in our What's next? Feedback thread.

How to set up an ecommerce site

An ecommerce website is like most other sites with two key differences. It usually has a shopping cart, and it requires at least one payment method to be able to accept payments online. For payment methods other than third-party options, a merchant account is needed.

Some web hosts specialize in ecommerce hosting and provide features for ecommerce websites. However, most web hosting providers can host ecommerce websites, depending on the specific needs of the ecommerce site.
