The Internet experienced its strongest site growth last month—a gain of 3.96 million new sites. This is by far the largest one-month increase of sites in Internet history according to a recent survey by Netcraft. The explosion of personal web logs (blogs) accounts for the majority of the growth. And it seems that this increasingly hot trend on the web will continue since blogs are very influential components of the Internet and their importance is growing exponentially.
