Hello fellow WHTers!

Fill 'er up with Premium.

You've probably seen them around. Dressed up in the bold blue username and sporting the Premium Member badge. It seems that every day more and more members upgrade to Premium.

Premium membership not only shows off your support of WHT, but it gives back with a larger PM box, less time between posts and searches, that distinctive blue username color, and access to the Premium Member Forums.

The new year is fast approaching. And so is the end of WHT Premium membership (as we now know it). Nothing to worry about. Premium membership will always be a part of WHT. It simply involves a little tweakage for 2009. The t-shirt included with the current offer, will not be a part of the package for 2009. So, if you want the limited edition black WHT t-shirt, you need to order Premium membership before the end of 2008. 2009 will be an exciting time for Premium membership. I'll talk more about that in the next edition of the WHT Insider.

In this edition, I'd rather focus on customer satisfaction. And how we, as customers, can increase or decrease our satisfaction rates. It's not enough to have good support personnel on the other end. We (as customers) need to help those who supply us support get what we deserve. I'd just as soon pass this discussion off to our first featured thread that examines how we can get the most out of our provider's support department.

And finally, but not lastly, the entire team at WHT and iNET joins me in wishing you a Safe and Happy Holiday Season.

See you on the forums!

Here are a few of the great things the community at Web Hosting Talk is talking about this week...

Nick H starts a discussion by providing his recommendation of the Top 10 Things To Ensure Faster/Friendlier Support in our Web Hosting Forum.

In the last issue, I mentioned Frontpage1's thread, How Many Hosts Folded Due To Economy? in our Running a Web Hosting Business forum. It's still generating great discussion. And related to the economy matter, SonyaS asks Cutting down Support expenses is a way out? in the same Running a Web Hosting Business forum.

There's some great discussion going on in our Colocation and Data Center Discussion forum in the Ethernet with 100Gbps thread started by member shashikant.

On the techy side of things, ever wonder about amps and volts and such? Check out the thread I don't understand power amps and volts...? started by new member surferdude949 in our Colocation and Data Center Discussion forum.

The decision on which medium is best to communicate with customers is discussed in joelin's thread titled Live Help application or MSN ? in our busy Running a Web Hosting Business forum.

This is a small sampling of great discussions going on now at WebHostingTalk.com. We can't possibly fit them all in this newsletter, so get in there and get involved!

Shopping cart software

What is an online shopping cart?

An online, ecommerce, or website shopping cart is software that allows users to select and purchase items and helps vendors display and sell their products and services online. Shopping cart scripts range in price from free to hundreds of dollars, and they offer a wide range of features.

Ecommerce shopping carts are just one element of an ecommerce website. Payment processors, and SSL certificates are commonly used with shopping carts to complete online transactions.
