WiredTree Adds New Customer Portal

December 4, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider WiredTree (wiredtree.com) announced on Monday it has added its new "Grove" client portal, designed to significantly improve its users' online billing and support experience.

"The new portal gives our clients total control over their hosting environment and their relationship with WiredTree – support, billing, server management, hardware, network – everything," says Zac Cogswell, WiredTree president. "Through the statistics they can check on the performance and uptime of their server when they are away, or historically to plan for growth."

The portal offers near real-time server statistics, such as CPU/memory usage, disk performance and usage and Apache statistics. The site also features added bandwidth graphs so WiredTree customers can monitor their bandwidth usage on hourly, weekly, or daily intervals with an configurable alert limit, eliminating runaway usage.

Customers can configure which services on their server they want WiredTree support staff to monitor and fix. The new site also enables customers to control DNS for their domains and Reverse DNS for their IP addresses. Customers can use WiredTree's IPMI 2.0 technology to remotely reboot their server, as well as check on the system temperature, voltages and fan speeds, all from their site’s control panel.

WiredTree announced last month it released the latest version of its comprehensive software and security suite, ServerShield 2.
