WebFaction Offers New Installers

October 15, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider WebFaction (webfaction.com) announced on Monday that it had rolled out a range of new one-click installers in its control panel.

The new installers include Wiki and blog engines such as MediaWiki, DokuWiki, SimpleLog and new WordPress versions, Web frameworks like CakePHP, new Rails and Django versions and CMS systems that include new Plone and Drupal versions.

The one-click installers are written using the WebFaction open API, while the source code is made available on the WebFaction wiki.

WebFaction says it offers flexible shared hosting to customers worldwide. Its control panel deploys applications in a few clicks and is often selected by people using agile tools such as Rails, Django, Drupal and Joomla, says the company.
