The new alliance is hoped to be an opportunity for independent software vendors to tap into Novell's growing customer base and network of over 3,500 channel partners.

Leveraging Novell's brand and go-to-market infrastructure, the Technology Partners Program allows qualified vendors to bring products to market quickly and gain greater exposure to a wide variety of customers. As a Novell Ready Partner, R1Soft will work with Novell to bring the first Continuous Data Protection solution to Novell's enterprise Linux customers.

Novell Ready partners receive access to Novell PartnerNet, a track within Novell's partner program, enabling ISVs, IHVs, and system builders develop or port their software and hardware products to Novell technologies, then market those solutions to customers. As a member of the Novell Technology Partner Program, R1Soft will gain access to a variety of technical resources, including the Novell Developer Kit and early access to beta software releases.
