Santa Clara, California – (The Hosting News) – September 13, 2007 – Technology firm and web hosting provider, Sun Microsystems, Inc., is hosting its Sun Tech Days worldwide developer conferences for 2007-2008, marking the 10th anniversary of the program, with a 15 city world tour, designed to educate developers in local markets.

Based on feedback from developers around the world, the Sun Tech Days program has been expanded to include content on Ajax and Web 2.0 related frameworks and toolkits, application performance tuning, JRuby, and building rich Web applications with jMaki and JavaFX Script. Sun Tech Days are loaded with technical content, practical ”how to” information, examples of real-world solutions, tips on application performance tuning, hands-on training and more.

The first event took place in Boston, with James Gosling, Vice President and Sun Fellow as the featured keynote. Attendees had access to either NetBeans Day or OpenSolaris Day, and one of two bonus developer days. Discussion topics included: Building and Deploying OpenSolaris technology, Virtualization, Security and POD — Performance, Observability, and Debugging. All Sun Tech Days conferences will also include JavaU training as an ancillary event. JavaU is an exemplary program that provides developers access to Sun’s master instructors, senior engineers and deep-dive subject matter experts.

Sun Microsystems’ premier global developer conference, Tech Days, travels the globe to share expertise with the community about the Solaris Operating System, Java technology, the NetBeans IDE, Project GlassFish, OpenSolaris, Sun Studio software, scripting languages, mobile and telecommunications technologies, open source, and web application development.
