Web Hosting Provider, HostGo, Debuts PAIX Connection Network Upgrades

Irvine, California – (The Hosting News) – January 13, 2009 – Web hosting and domain name registration provider, HostGo, has increased its connection to the PAIX neutral Internet Exchange Point (IXP) from a gigabit Ethernet port to a 10 gigabit Ethernet port to the switch.

The upgrade will allow HostGo to continue to support operations in light of recent increases in network traffic.
Located in Palo Alto, Calif., PAIX provides Internet Service Providers (ISPs) with a physical infrastructure to interconnect directly and exchange IP traffic. By directly interconnecting in a single physical location, instead of relying on 3rd party IP transit providers, Internet Service Providers are able to reduce latency, cost, and bandwidth consumption.

Michael Fritsch, President of HostGo commented. ”We have experienced dramatic growth across our entire network and have been actively working to improve network connectivity by upgrading exchange points throughout the United States. The result of these upgrades is ultimately increased network speed to an even broader assortment of ISPs.”

HostGo recently added 10 gigabit ports Telehouse New York, Equinix Ashburn, and Equinix San Jose. With the PAIX Palo Alto upgrade completed, HostGo now boasts 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports at five different locations across its global network. The company will continue to roll out network upgrades as needed to create short-term and long-term network capacity.

Shared hosting packages from HostGo range from $6.95 to $19.95 monthly. The company also offers a reseller program and affiliate program.

A subsidiary of FritschNET, Inc., HostGo is a leading provider of Shared Web hosting plans and domain name registry services. With a customer base composed largely of individuals and small to medium sized businesses, HostGo offers a myriad of value-added services to help its clients grow web sites.
