Web Hosting Protection Firm, Cloudmark, Inc., Presents at Parallels Summit 2009

San Francisco, California – (The Hosting News) – February 16, 2009 – Server virtualization, automation and software provider, Parallels annual Summit, recently welcomed Jamie de Guerre, Chief Technology Officer at messaging security, real-time spam, virus and phishing protection solution firm, Cloudmark, Inc.

With some of the largest vendors in the hosting industry, Mr. de Guerre spoke about a next-generation e-mail security solution for web Hosters and how hosting companies can offer a premium e-mail security service to their customers without the standard infrastructure and operational overhead. The presentation was part of the Industry Track at the Parallels Summit 2009 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

The Parallels Summit 2009 focuses on the next generation of optimized computing with an over-arching theme of cloud computing. The event will include sessions on Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Automation, Virtualization and other important topics. In addition, business leaders and industry experts will be on hand to provide strategic insights on how to survive against the corporate giants who are threatening market share.

As CTO, Mr. de Guerre is responsible for Cloudmark’s technical strategy and roadmap. Additionally, Mr. de Guerre manages Cloudmark’s Technology Services, Sales Engineering, ISP Support, Professional Services and Product Management teams, ensuring a tight bridge between customers and internal technical development.

Mr. de Guerre has played a central role in shaping Cloudmark’s products and technologies since joining in 2003. Jamie started as a core member of the design team writing the first design specifications for Cloudmark Server Edition and multiple versions of Cloudmark Authority. Mr. was also instrumental in dramatically growing Cloudmark’s Global Threat Network system, with the invention of the Cloudmark Network Feedback System enabling automatic incorporation of feedback from all subscribers within a service provider’s network.

Mr. de Guerre has spoken at numerous industry events and panels in the areas of e-mail security, mobile technologies and future security threat vectors related to new types of messaging. Prior to joining Cloudmark, he worked at Microsoft on the .NET Compact Framework, where he first began working with service providers. Mr. de Guerre holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario.
