Web Host, VoIP Firm, Cbeyond Chairman, CEO, Present at Harvard Business School
Atlanta, Georgia - (The Hosting News) - January 21, 2008 - Web hosting and managed integrated VoIP services provider for small businesses, Cbeyond's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Jim Geiger, spoke at the Harvard Business School Club of Atlanta's Leadership Breakfast at the Buckhead Club in the Atlanta Financial Center.

The Harvard Business School (HBS) Club of Atlanta is currently the sixth largest of the 93 HBS Clubs now operating in some 38 countries around the world. The Club serves more than 1,500 alumni living in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area and enjoys a participation level which is among the highest in the country.
The Leadership Breakfast Series connects Harvard Business School Club members with some of the world's most successful leaders in business who discuss the challenges facing their companies and their industries. Previous speakers include Mark Fields, president of The Americas Ford Motor Company, and Mark Lazarus, president of Turner Entertainment Group.
Mr. Geiger founded Cbeyond in 1999 and shared his experience in leading the company from its start up days to the present when it generates more than a quarter of a billion dollars of revenue on a run-rate basis and serves more than 33,000 customers. He also discussed the ways in which the culture of service at Cbeyond has helped it become one of the fastest growing publicly-traded companies in the country over the last several years and the ways in which its singular focus on its entrepreneurial customers has delivered benefits to them, to the community and to Cbeyond's shareholders.
Mr. Geiger was recognized as Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year for the Southeast region in 2007 and AeA's Technology Entrepreneur of the Year in 2006. Geiger was also recently honored with an entrepreneurship award from the Atlanta chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.
Last year, Cbeyond's Vice President, Terry Trout, was named in Women in Technology's 2007 Woman of the Year. The Women of the Year in Technology Awards honor female executives who achieve remarkable results during their career in the Georgia technology industry, both within their organization and within their community. Ms. Trout was recognized in the mid-market/medium organization category for her leadership role in driving Cbeyond's customer experience. A Cbeyond employee since the company's inception in 1999, Trout has been integral in the company's growth and on-going strategic initiatives that have resulted in a 99-percent monthly customer retention rate and a customer referral rate of greater than 30-percent.
Previously, in her role as vice president of corporate communications, Ms. Trout led the development of CbeyondOnline, an online account management tool that simplifies bill payment and gives customers complete control of their account. She also launched Cbeyond's community service program enabling Cbeyond employees to give back to the communities where they work and live. Ms. Trout is actively involved in a variety of leadership and mentoring activities. She founded Cbeyond's Women's Network, an organization designed to foster professional development for Cbeyond women through a variety of educational sessions and networking events. She is a mentor for WEDA (Women's Economic Development Association), on the advisory board of the SBA Women's Business Center at The Edge Connection and holds a board position at the Sullivan Center.
