April 12, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Telecommunications provider Verizon Business (verizonbusiness.com) announced on Wednesday its managed hosting centers have been certified with ISO/IEC 27001:2005 standards for information security management controls and processes by management systems registration and training services provider BSI Management Systems (bsiamericas.com).
Two facilities in the United States and one in London, also called Smart Centers, successfully completed the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certification, says Verizon.

"This achievement further underscores the Verizon Business commitment to world-class standards for safeguarding enterprise customers and their businesses."
Verizon Business also recently announced it has been listed in the leaders quadrant of IT analyst firm Gartner's annual Magic Quadrant report.
