TyBit Launches New Features
January 17, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Client-side search engine tyBit (tybit.com), a subsidiary of Advanced Internet Technologies (ait.com), announced on Wednesday that it is launching three major initiatives as it moves from beta mode to full production by the second quarter of 2008.
TyBit says it is offering a next generation ad module in beta, that can deliver text, audio or video ads based on keyword relevance and customers can choose to go with pay-per-click without click fraud, cost-per-action or key-word-registry options. The company is also offering pre-registration of keywords for its global keyword registry as well as a new "shop" function so users can search and compare pricing for products and services across the Web.
TyBit also announced that the Partner Module, where select tyBit partners receive 40 percent of gross revenues generated by subscribers using the partner's tyBit ID, is nearing completion.
"The initial spark that drove the development of tyBit was our dissatisfaction with the search industry's pay per click model and the associated click fraud," says Clarence Briggs, CEO of tyBit. "Our partners have indicated that they are frustrated because they don't feel they are getting their fair share of the interactive advertising dollars even though they have the relationship with subscribers. They also want customization and transparency, which they aren't getting now. We can deliver this to them with tyBit."
AIT recently ran a set of end-of-year "blowout specials," offering discounts of 20 to 40 percent on selected hosting plans.
