The Green Grid Names Speakers

January 15, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Data center energy efficiency organization The Green Grid (thegreengrid.org) announced on Monday that it has released the speaker lineup for its upcoming First Annual Green Grid Technical Forum. The event will be held from February 5 to 6 at the Parc 55 Hotel in San Francisco, California.

The theme for this year's forum is "Get Connected: Assess Today for Efficiency Tomorrow," and Renato Crocetti from ADP and Jim Miller from Enterprise Rent-A-Car will be delivering the opening keynotes. Other speakers include Roger Schmidt from ASHRAE, Paul Scheihing from the DOE, Andrew Fanara from the EPA, Brian Peters from ITI, Susan Andrews from NYSERDA and Mark Bramfitt from PG&E, who will join members of The Green Grid board of directors and technical committee for a series of interactive presentations and panel discussions.

Some of the technical forum sessions include global perspectives in energy efficiency, rating systems for data centers, utility and rebate incentives and the Green Grid data center metrics.

"The Green Grid's Technical Forum will address those issues which are most critical to our members" says Tony Pierce, a director of The Green Grid. "The forum will provide an in-person networking opportunity for members to learn about the association's deliverables in greater detail, to relay their own opinions and experiences about how to achieve greater efficiency in the data center and to learn more about best practices."

The Green Grid will also hold its first annual general members meeting at the Parc 55 Hotel following the event.
